Who operates this service
Lai Shao Jue operates UK IDV Status and is its data controller.
What you enter
The checker asks for a company number. Do not enter a personal code, full date of birth, passport information, selfie or identity document.
Public register data
The server retrieves public company, officer and PSC data from Companies House. Public records can include names, roles, dates and addresses. The checker uses the fields needed to display the company result and explain the identity verification information.
Logs and caching
Successful results may be cached for up to five minutes to protect the Companies House service and reduce repeated requests. The result page shows when its public data was fetched.
Vercel hosts this website and may process standard request information, such as an IP address, timestamp and browser user agent, for security and service operation. Application logs do not intentionally contain the Companies House API key, personal codes or full API responses.
Accounts, payments and marketing
The free checker has no user accounts, subscriptions or payment processing. It does not use the company number to create a marketing profile.
Cookies
The free checker does not use advertising or marketing cookies. Any strictly necessary cookie will be described here before launch.
Sharing
We send the company number to Companies House to retrieve the public record. We do not sell checker queries or public-register results.
Your choices
You can use the official Companies House search instead. If public register information is wrong, use the relevant Companies House service to report or correct it.
